Real Life Math Project Ideas

  • Find google math images in everyday life and make a digital poster to demonstrate your knowledge of how much we use math every day
  • Make your favourite recipe and make a movie of how you use math in cooking
  • Make a list of how you use math throughout your day. For example when you slice your pizza at lunch; eat your sandwich; drink your bottle of water; write on your notebook how much of the page is left etc.
  • Using your digital camera take a walk around your school and take pictures of math you see. With your pictures develop a powerpoint on Math in My School. Verbally record in PPT what the math is that you see (i.e. a pattern, fraction etc.) Add titles and some text and present to the class and teacher.
